The lower part of the pub will be a separate entity and be something a little bit different to the offerings in the main pub. Plans are afoot for a cider bar with up to 6 local ciders out of the barrel and a barrel or two of ale all on the back bar. Old pubs games; bar snacks such as pickled eggs, pork pies with piccalilli and scotch eggs will feature. We may even get a tv. Who knows!
We are also working towards have a lovely lawn and terraced area to the rear of the pub. We will need to nick a bit of parking space, but there’s tons so we won’t miss a little. It will be great for those long drawn out summers. Fingers crossed.
In time there will be 4 fine and luxurious bed and breakfast rooms, to match those of The Castle and dare I say even surpass. There’s plenty of space upstairs and not being too far from Bristol, the airport or local attractions such as Tyntesfield and North Somerset Showground, we should get bit of trade.
